How often should I worry about my car battery? |

Batteries need less care these days, but even with maintenance-free batteries, corrosion on posts and cable terminals can build up. If corrosion is neglected, the result may be an engine that won't start. To keep current flowing properly to your car's starter and electrical system, have the electrical system checked regularly. |

The most effective way to ensure long life for your vehicle's engine is to change the engine oil frequently. Changing your engine oil and filter will stop sludge build up which could cause the oil pickup to be blocked, causing expensive and avoidable engine repairs.
Changing your vehicles engine oil regularly will also help prevent the piston oil rings to seize which in turn could cause your engine to use excessive oil.
Over time oil breaks down and accumulates particles that will damage engine parts. Recommendations for frequency vary, but to be safe, change your oil about every 5,000 kms or refer to you car's manual. You should keep in mind the type of driving your vehicle does. |
